This policy explains what information HCPCSwise collects, how it's used, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible — this Site does not require an account and does not store any patient data.

What we store in your browser

HCPCSwise uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember:

• Saved/favorited codes — the HCPCS codes you've bookmarked for quick access
• Theme preference — whether you've selected light or dark mode

This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser's site data will remove it.

Feedback form

If you submit the feedback form, your message and optional email address are sent via Web3Forms, a third-party form-processing service, to our inbox at [email protected]. We use this solely to read and respond to feedback. We do not sell or share this information. Web3Forms' own privacy practices apply to how your submission is transmitted; see their privacy policy for details.

Fonts and third-party resources

This Site loads the "Newsreader" typeface from Google Fonts' CDN. Loading a font from Google's servers may share your IP address and browser information with Google, subject to Google's own privacy policy. We do not use Google Fonts for tracking purposes.

Analytics and advertising

At this time, HCPCSwise does not run third-party analytics or advertising scripts. If this changes in the future (for example, to support the Site's costs), this policy will be updated in advance to disclose what is added and what data it involves.

No patient data

HCPCSwise is a code reference tool. It does not ask for, collect, or store any protected health information (PHI), patient records, or identifiable medical data. Please do not submit any such information through the feedback form.

Children's privacy

This Site is intended for use by medical billing, coding, and healthcare professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
